Simple DIY Cake Toppers

DIY your own Cake Toppers This Halloween or anytime | by maritzagarcia.website

If you love fun and inexpensive DIYs you’re in the right place. Today I’ll be sharing how I create my kooky little cake toppers using my silhouette cameo cutting machine. You can also recreate something like this using sharpies, color pencils and scissors only.

To get started. You will need to choose a theme. A little brainstorming is key here. If you’ll be creating something for Halloween try a few black cats, spiders, bats, or ghosts like I did.

If cutting by hand. Draw your design(s) on regular copy paper using color pencils and/or markers. I recommend drawing assorted sizes.

Once you are happy with your results. Load your printer with heavy card stock paper 65 lbs and over. Scan your image and maybe even make a few copies of your design(s) to create a garland or maybe even make a few centerpieces.

Or if you’ll be using a cutting machine make sure to use any design(s) you already have in your Library or simply create your own using the Silhouette studio toolbar to create your own fun shapes.

I hope these fun cake toppers inspire you to recreate your own this Halloween. If your on Instagram don’t forget to share this DIY with me using hashtag knotjustpaperdiy Happy Haunts.
