DIY: Valentine's Day Fortune Cookies

For this project I'm sharing two methods, one for use with a silhouette cutting machine and the other, a cut by hand option in case you don't own a cutting machine, (yet).

DIY; Valentine's Day Fortune Cookies

Instructions

Option 1 for use with your cutting machine.

Supplies: card-stock paper, double-sided transparent tape, printer paper, and a silhouette cameo.

ย

Step one.

place your color card stock paper onto your cutting mat and feed through your cutting machine, I'm using  3D Valentine Fortune Cookie design by Jamie Cripps.

step two.

Print or hand write your Valentine's Day messages on printer paper. Cut paper into strips to tuck inside your fortune cookies.

step three.

Next, place a message strip on top of your fortune cookie paper circle, now create a taco shape without folding your paper, you just want to create a slight crease on the bottom of your fortune cookie.

step four.

Now, using your index finger press the center of your paper taco upward gently, this will help crease the bottom of your fortune cookie, next carefully pull downward on the paper corner points till they resemble a real fortune cookie.

step five.

Once you achieve the fortune cookie shape, add double-sided transparent tape to the inner center fold of your fortune cookie(s) to keep them from unraveling.
